Ali R. Nassiripour Attorney at Law

US IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY

Driven, principled, and relentless in pursuit of justice, Ali R. Nassiripour has built a reputation as the attorney clients turn to when everything is on the line. Known for his fierce loyalty to those he represents — and his uncompromising stance against dishonesty — Ali combines sharp legal strategy with a deep personal commitment to every case he takes on. Trusted by the people who matter and respected throughout the immigration community, he continues to expand his practice with ambition, integrity, and a dedication to helping immigrant families build safer, more stable lives in the United States.

Background & Professional Journey

Born in Iran and having personally experienced the fear and uncertainty of an immigration proceeding as a young man, Ali understands the stakes of immigration law from the inside. The successful outcome in his own case left a lasting mark, shaping his mission: to alleviate the fear and confusion felt by immigrants by being the advocate he once needed.

Ali is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law (J.D. 2003) and holds an M.S. in Economics, a B.A. in French and Economics, and a B.A. in Political Science from Wichita State University, with additional study at University Paris–Sorbonne.
He is licensed to practice law in New York and admitted to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, representing clients nationwide.

Over the years, Ali has represented more than 800 individuals in asylum proceedings and countless others in Master Calendar Hearings, Bond Proceedings, and detained matters. His firm now serves clients from many countries, handling some of the most complex and high-stakes immigration challenges.

Practice Areas

Ali’s practice is exclusively dedicated to U.S. immigration and nationality law, with deep experience in:

  • Defensive Asylum & Withholding/CAT
  • Detained Immigration Proceedings — including high-volume detained dockets in the 5th, 9th, 10th, and 11th Circuits, among the toughest in the nation
  • Complex EOIR Litigation & Appeal
  • BIA Appeals
  • Business Immigration (EB-1, NIW, E-2, E-3, L-1)
  • Family-Based Petitions & Adjustment of Status
  • FOIA Requests, Waivers, and Procedural Strategy
  • Humanitarian Relief (U-Visa, VAWA, TPS, SIJS)

He is known for taking on some of the hardest detained asylum cases in the country, particularly those involving credibility issues, religious conversion, political-opinion persecution, and claims arising from authoritarian regimes.

Philosophy & Approach

Ali’s approach to immigration practice is built on three core principles:

  1. Truth matters.
Honesty with clients and honesty in court form the backbone of his practice.
  2. Preparation wins cases.
Evidence is organized meticulously. Timelines are perfected. Arguments are built with precision.
  3. Loyalty is a two-way street.
Clients who show honesty, commitment, and effort receive unwavering advocacy in return.

Relentless in preparation and uncompromising with unethical opponents, Ali is known for outworking, out-strategizing, and out-preparing the other side.

Reputation & Strengths

  • Driven; Fiercely loyal; Relentless; Principled
  • A strategic thinker; A powerful legal writer
  • A major force in detained litigation across multiple circuits
  • Trusted by immigrant communities
  • Intimidating to dishonest opponents

Ali leads a multilingual, multicultural team at Nassiripour Law Firm, including attorneys, paralegals, translators, and client-relations staff. Under his leadership, the firm is expanding its business immigration division, launching outreach programs in Spanish, Farsi, and Chinese, and reinforcing its presence in California and across the U.S.

He is committed to mentoring new immigration professionals and has created internal systems, training models, and workflow standards to raise the level of advocacy across the firm.

Mission;
